Yes, IncrediBulb has a A19 base, which is the standard for household lighting.
The 5W provides 450 lumens, which similar to the lighting a traditional 40W bulb provides. The 5W is perfect for accent lights, end tables, and entry halls. The 7W provides 600 lumens, which similar to the lighting a traditional 60W bulb provides. The 7W is perfect for lighting a standard size room.
The difference is in the color spectrum, not the amount of light they provide. A Daylight Bulb is 5500K, which creates a very white light, similar to sunlight. The Soft White bulb is 2700K which provides a homey warm glow. While the color spectrum tends to be personal preference. The Daylight bulbs are better suited for Bathrooms, Kitchens, Garages and Home Offices. The Soft White bulbs are ideal for bedrooms, living rooms and dining rooms.
IncrediBulb is not dimmable.
Yes, IncrediBulb is very safe. It has been tested by Intertek, the largest tester of consumer goods in the world, and bears the Intertek Certification Mark.
The estimated yearly energy cost for the 5W bulb, based on 3 hours a day at $0.12/KWh is $0.65. Yes, that’s correct – sixty-five cents a year! If you were to run the bulb 24 hours a day/365 days a year (not ideal, but IF), the cost to run that single IncrediBulb for the entire year would be $5.20.
Please note: The estimated yearly energy cost for the 7W bulb, based on 3 hours a day at $0.12/KWh is $0.91. Only a few pennies more.
IncrediBulb does not contain hazardous chemicals, so it is safe to throw them away in the trashcan. However, some of the components may be recyclable. So, it’s a good idea to contact your recycling company to see if they will accept our LEDs.
IncrediBulb cannot be shipped to California as we are currently in the process of receiving our state-mandated efficiency certification. We expect to receive our certification in 2021.
